Museums of Polissya
Zarichne and Volodymyrets districts in Rivne region - are only a small piece of Ukrainian Polissya. But the province has its own peculiar history, life, culture of people and especially nature.
To better understanding the history, cultural heritage of Polissya, tourists are invited to visit the local history museums in Volodymyrets and Zarichne.
Museum workers conducted ethnographic expeditions to villages of Polissya complementing the exhibition, covering the life and culture of local people. They regularly held exhibitions of folk artists, collectors and photographers.
Tourists, of course, be more interesting tour of the Local History exhibition, which plunge into the past and highlight color of Ukrainian Polissya.
National History Museum in town Volodymyrets operates from 1969 and gathered a large number of interesting exhibits.
And in 2008 Zarichne’s museum was given a grant from the head of the Rivne Regional State Administration for the implementation of the project on the preservation and study of decorative patterns Polissya chest. Currently, the museum opened an exhibition of decorative painted Zarichne’s chests.
